What is the pick-up time at our meeting point in Cuyabeno Bridge?

11h30AM - 12h30PM  - for people arriving by car or bus

 

Where is the meeting point?

The tour begins at the Cuyabeno Bridge entrance to the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This will be the meeting point with our naturalist guide. 

There are three options for getting to this point: private transportation, public bus, or car. Our team can help you book private transportation from Quito to the Cuyabeno entrance.

 

Do I need special vaccinations to travel to Cuyabeno?

No vaccinations are required to enter the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. There have not been any cases of tropical diseases (malaria, yellow fever, cholera) reported in or near the lodge.

 

Are the jungle tours in Ecuador safe?

You bet they are. Ecuador is one of Latin America’s most stable and safest countries. You’ll be welcomed by its friendly people and always taken care of by attentive staff. After a full day of wildlife viewing, rest up at our cabins in our ecolodge, which offer authentic Ecuadorian traditional accommodation

 

Do you offer English-speaking guides..?

We use knowledgeable, experienced English-speaking native guides. French, Dutch, and German-speaking guides can also be arranged for a group of 8 or more persons upon additional fees.

 

Is it okay to drink the water?

We provide free bottled water at our restaurant, so feel free to refill it whenever you want.

 

What time do we get back to Lago Agrio (meeting point) after finishing the tour.

We aim to have guests back in Lago Agrio by 2h30PM. Please recall that we cannot be responsible for any delays caused by inclement weather or other factors beyond our control.

 

Does Green Forest Ecolodge provide On-site Management?

Our on-site management team is there to help visitors get the most from their time with us. 

 

What kinds of animals will I see on an amazon jungle tour?

All kinds! You will see the animals you’ve always dreamed of encountering in the Amazon Rainforest, like pink dolphins, all kinds of monkeys, caimans, macaws, toucans, many kinds of birds, anacondas and so much more. But remember, we are not a zoo, nature is nature.

 

Are there mosquitoes at the Ecolodge?

You are unlikely to see mosquitoes at the Ecolodge. Insect repellent is advisable to protect against the “no-see-ums”, especially early in the morning and in the evening.

 

What clothes should I bring on an amazon jungle tour?

Dress in comfortable, casual attire that you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend wearing layers. After you’ve booked your Cuyabeno tour, we’ll send a detailed packing list to help you prepare.

Can special diets be accommodated?

With advanced notice, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic-friendly meals can easily be arranged. Make sure to inform us when booking your trip.

 

Tipping

Tips may be offered to the guides or staff at the lodge, at your own discretion.

 

Will I have a chance to interact with local people of the communities in the Jungle?

All of our tours in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve provide opportunities to visit local villages and interact with the people. However, if your itinerary does not include these visits, you’ll still gain valuable local insight from your expert guide, a native of the tribes in the jungle.

 

Can I take my children on an amazon jungle tour?

Of course! We believe that taking your entire family with children as young as 7 years old on a tour of the Amazon Rainforest is a wonderful way to learn and grow together.

 

What size are your amazon jungle tour groups?

We specialize in small group travel (about 8–10 people) per native natural guide, but the exact size varies trip to trip. One thing’s for sure: you’ll have plenty of space to listen and participate with our natural native guides.

  

Can I use a credit card to pay?

We accept Visa, MasterCard for your deposit payment of the Cuyabeno Tour. We have an easy payment method via WeTravel. Once you get to our meeting place, payment of the balance is cash only. It is better to bring enough cash for the remaining balance.

 

What is the time we will get back to Cuyabeno Bridge (end of the tour)?

11h30AM - 12H30PM End of our services.

 

What is the visit to the Siona Community?

For the Siona community, we created community tourism. What we seek with this activity is to generate an income for the families of the communities surrounding our ecolodge. In this way we avoid the hunting of animals by those inhabitants and we preserve nature.

How to Get to Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve?

From Quito to the Cuyabeno Bridge (Meeting point)
Private Shuttle (30 USD one-way or 60 USD roundtrip per person)

Departure from Mariscal area at Blue House Hostel (Joaquin Pinto E8-24 y Diego de Almagro) at 10:50pm.

*Return to Quito: The drop off is at (Jóse de Antepara y Rios, in the Old Town or at Veintimilla and Juan León Mer), in La Mariscal.

*So please keep in mind that you might have to take a taxi to your accommodation after arriving in Quito.

Ask about private transportation from the city of Ecuador.
